Audio quality is good and speaker is loud. Phone operation is butterly smooth. It comes with task and notes app that sync with your gmail account and evernote.

The phone is fully covered in terms of hardware and software, a fully comprehensive package.

Today is the first time I brought my Butterfly overseas.
Realized that it couldn't connect onto Thailand's AIS 3G or HSDPA network,
Only managed to connect on Edge....
Anyone has the same issue?

Do we need to set special settings?

Didn't have the problem before on my S3 :(

Just got my htc on friday, looks beautiful! everything is great about the phone! except for the battery. it drains damn fast. can barely last me a day of minor usage. just occasional web browsing, facebook, twitter, some photos taken, and whatsapp.

Might it be the fact that i charged it for 8 hours on the first charge? Been doing this for all the new phones i use.

check this
HTC Butterfly - Full phone specifications

Samsung I9300 Galaxy S III - Full phone specifications

s3 got more 3g coverage vs htc

or maybe the thai netwrok using a diff 3g freq which the phone cant support

GSM World Coverage Map- GSM Country List by frequency bands

jp is using 3g (2100MHz)

but LTE is another story
as diff county use diff band is quite messy

Got my Butterfly for a week.

Battery Life.
Alot longer than I expected from a 2020mAh. Screen doesn't seem to use up alot of battery.
Screen set to Auto Brightness.
Vibration mode.
GPS on.
I have sync on.
-Email, Gmail
-Whatsapp
-Facebook notification
-Whatsapp notification
-Twitter notification

Timings are cumulative estimates over the day.
3G, constant moving around(base-stations to base-stations I presume)
Facebook ~45mins.
Twitter checking on-off every hour.
Graphic intensive + connected-3G game ~30-45mins.
Whatsapp ~20-30mins.

Time unplugged: 11.30am -100%
Time now: 1.10am(next day) - 26%
Roughly 14hrs reduction of 80%. I would say its awesome for a 5inch, 2020mAh phone.

Audio Quality.
One word, Wow. Coming from a handphone. Audio quality is quite good. I'm surrounded by Samsung note2, s3 and iphone5 everyday. So I would naturally compare the HTC butterfly with them. I would say its lives up to its name of having the beats brand(albeit marketing gimmick) on it.
Phone speaker(the one you place your ears against) is VERY clear. Its loud even at 60% level. I was blown away when I first used the phone.

Hope this helps those who is comtemplating to get HTC Butterfly. try the Optimus G, its a no-joke phone too.

Thanks for the heads up. Will probably wait for the indicative pricing for LG Optimus G before making a decision...but right now I am slanting towards HTC because of the screen. Don't really need LTE as of now... :s13:

CNET Asia's LTE FAQ - Feature - Internet & Networking - CNET Asia

Seems to be 850/2100.
Conclusion is that the Butterfly support on 850 band 3G is not good comparing to 2100.

Will head Vietnam next which is on 2100 to test.

Anyone heading for Thailamd, pls test and let me know if you can connect to their 850 band
