I saw it on phonearena website, it mention that this SGN8.0 don't have LED on the camera.

Anyway, I'm waiting for Samsung to announce it, consider to buy this for reading & some light entertainment on movie & surfing. :s13:

How it look like with the Shortcut menu on the left.

Do agree that the thick bezel made it look awful. This was the exact reason why I previously stuck with Tab 7.0 plus and not Tab 2 7.0.
and after that upgraded to note 10.1

Apparently, Engadget US has gotten a test set and did some hands-on

The POWER/SLEEP button. VOLUME JOG KEY and the IR outlet to communicate with Samsung related products like SMART TV and Laptops
From this photo, it seems like the back camera lens is sticking out a bit...

The S Note UI given a new facelift. looks nicer

dsc06425.jpg

Multi-tasking... the distortion is quite similar to Note 10.1

For those who like to read on tablet... Note 8.0 has a "READING MODE", which transform the appearance and lighting to more "paper-like"

Should be Android 4.1.2 straight out of the box.

Seems to be a normal SIM card size. don't seem to be micro-SIM

dsc06606.jpg

Using same micro-USB as Note 2. but the voltage should be more on the Tab series, which requires 2.0A and above. two micro speakers on the side.

Seems like the Internet explorer UI is also updated

So the question goes again: "Which one should I be choosing? iPad Mini or Galaxy Note 8.0 or Nexus 7?"

> An LTE variant is also on deck.

what does it mean by 'on deck'?
means available or coming soon?

After a array of galaxies, seems like this one surprisingly not exciting people anymore.

I wonder what screen is that? Hoping to do away with the. Amoled which I think is the battery sucker.

Welcome the micro usb and the traditional IR transmitter (very much missed for remote controls) and the. 16:10 ratio.

Surprised that the bevels are quite too wide.
Will upgrade from Note 1, using bluetooth for calls.

hope its phone function are just as good as the older tabs. i need a new phone to replace my old tab and the 7.7 is not on sale anymore. the battery life i'm guessing won't be as good, but hopefully not too far off

after my wife saw the launch of Note 8.0, she is thinking of getting one to try.

Reason? She's going back to study soon, therefore she wants a tab for her to scribble her notes. Note 10.1 is too big for her. Therefore she finds note 8.0 just nice...

Since I am heading down to town later, might as well drop by Samsung@Plaza Sing and see if they have any Note 8.0 available to try...
