2) for landscape photography u need almost all kinds of lens.. wide to tele..

3) Tripod make sure its stable, and when u mount ur camera on, it shld be ard ur eye level.

4) Remote is a must, especially with timer.

5) Filters wise, u need ND and polarizer~ GND is secondary.
I think the wide end more important..

i think u can never come across a scenario where by a huge rainbow is infront of you~ and u can't get it into your sensor~ =(
what abt the huge DR difference between the land and the sky when shooting sunrise and sunset? or anytime when the sun is shining brightly? :(

i still can take 2 exposures of the scene and blend them nicely~

without polarizer~ my rainbow will be more or less gone~

and sometimes u will want to cut away the reflection of the water~ or make it more prominent~

basically im referring to getting more obvious reflection~

a polarizer cannot be adequately replicated in PS. similar to that, ND filters can't be replicated either, in terms of allowing longer exposure times.

i not so elite can travel to elite places.. i mostly shoot around singapore and even when on vacation, i hardly setup my gears like i do in singapore.. :s22:

unless i go on a photography trip, then i will pay special attention to what i need to bring... :o

so i guess it boils down to individual needs and wants.. just buy what best fits your usage can riaos~ :o
