To raiindrops,

Maybe the sound is due to expansion/contraction of e plastic parts in the fcu.

The blinking green light is normal.

Hi Terumo, thank you for making the effort to reply! Ya, I'm trying to observe it for a longer period before calling the installer. Cleaning is a hassle and my room has literally little room for them to work too.

I'm still trying the knocking/pressing method, no other alternatives i guess, and it's slightly better. Let's hope for e best, thank you once again!

Hv a wonderful wkend~ :)

Hi all, went down to courts to ask about aircon recently, seems like they highly recommend fujitsu brand at the moment cos of some smart chip feature. Know nuts about air-con, so am looking for a good Sys3 for my parents' HDB house. Any advice?

The model is:-

Fujitsu Sys 3 Inverter
AOAG24LAT3 / ASAG09LJ x3
CU 24K / FCU 9K x3
At the price of $3,139

Or is there any other choices/brands I should look out for? Thanks!

Looking for Air Con for new flat

Dear all,

I'm currently looking for System 4 Inverter Air Con for my new BTO flat.

I'm looking at 1 x Living Room and 3 x Bedrooms.

Please advise on the estimated costing for brands Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin.

Also, I realised that Gain City is not the authorised dealer for Daikin. Is it still safe to buy from them?

Thanks!

Toshiba Air-con

Hi everyone..

Air-con noob here.. Am planning to get an air-con together with my flat reno starting in 2 weeks time... Have been shopping around and decided on the Toshiba brand.

My original intention was to just air-con the master(4m x 2.9m x 2.5m) and common bedroom(3.9m x 2.9m x 2.5m). I got a quote for a System 2 (2x9000 btu) at $2500 + installation + metal bracket.

Lately, i decided to aircon my living room(6.3m x 2.95m x 2.5m) as well. However, when i check the quote again... it jumped by over $1k. System 3 (2x9000 btu + 1x12000 btu) is $3550 and $3650 if use 18000btu instead of 12000btu. I was expecting an increase of between $500-$600 at most so i like to ask all experienced bros here.. is this increase of near $1k reasonable and what else could have changed beside just adding an additional blower unit?

Thanks in advance for any reply or advice!

----PLACEMENT FOR AIRCON COMPRESSOR WITHIN SERVICE BALCONY---

i dont have a outdoor aircon ledge so i decided to put within svc balcony.

question1:
can i just leave the compressor on the floor facing the walls?
or mount bracket for $150 and lifting the compressor up facing windows for air flow?

main concern is the heat build up in the service balcony.

question2:
i did not pay 80 dollars for the thicker insulation copper pipe.
because 3 rooms will be 240$

is it a wrong decision?

Contact Kaisoon Aircon. Look up for their contact on Google. They provided one of the best services in the open market today. Four years down, no issues. Cheers.

They will be frank with you when you decide to switch your parts to G22 or G23 or G24. Remember its always 16mm water drainage all the way from the aircon unit. :D

just wondering, do does using standing fans while the aircon is on spoil the FCU? Sister says it does, but I'm doubtful. can anyone clarify?

Hi Weiyang76,
Thanks, beside the above what else I need to request or check.

Insulation are either KFlex, Armaflex. They are PSB Approved.

Go for trunking if very much possible for HDB.

Make sure they use 16mm copper.

Dear aircon experts, need your assistance in the following...

My contractor recommended the aircon system below for a 3-bedroom house.

Panasonic 12K BTU inverter single split 3 set.
  • Cu-ps12nkz x1
  • Cs-ps12nkz x3

Is this any good, as I'm not familiar with these things...
Also, what type of copper piping, insulation and bracket should I ask for (or just use default/standard kind) ??

Thanks.
