*** EDITED

You can pre-order Nokia's Lumia 1020 unlocked now

Oh and its unlocked!
However, please be aware that it'll not be compatible with LTE band 3 and 7 used by Singtel, Starhub and M1 (1800 & 2600 MHz). AT&T variant only supports LTE bands: 2, 4, 5, 17.
I don't mind about that since I am not subscribing 4G.

P.S. Sorry Das Sadas, sad to hear that you didn't get your Ding Tai Fung job..

Works out to be around 946 SGD before GST.
US $782 * $1.21

That's including the hefty 47 USD shipping fee. Overall its quite okay for a handset that have just been launched, including NegriElectronics' share of profit.
I guess it'll probably have a starting recommended retail price of $950 when it reach our market.

The GST will hurt. :/

in the camera aspect only. Pureview pro has nothing to do with windows phone.
larger aperture and ois do not help in image quality, there is many noise in the official nokia 1020 low light photo sample. May that be 100 minimum iso?

No sane consumer would consider a phone's camera in complete isolation. If they do, they would be much better off buying a RX100.

Symbian is practically unusable by today's app-centric standards, while WP still has a fighting chance.

Since you're so confident 1020 is inferior in camera, please provide low-light comparison photos. If not, just wait for the reviews to come out - no point speculating final production image quality for now.

EDIT: http://mynokiablog.com/2013/07/15/d...s-most-of-what-he-hoped-for-in-final-product/

Context: Damian Dinning was the former imaging head of Nokia. He is no longer with Nokia currently.

What he says: "Reading comments on some forums about image quality and noise for #Lumia1020 has me wondering if these people are in a parallel universe"; "808 was the start of what I refer to as Pixels 2.0 whereas the 1020 really take that a big step further…"; "low light for sure. Daylight I would imagine will be broadly similar. 1020 has lots of advantages enabled by Nokia’s lenses tho."

Again, I wouldn't come to any conclusion for now. Just wait patiently for reviews.

Having the set with you makes it easier to develop. Especially since Nokia has released their Pro Camera SDK. Let's just say LastBattle has different needs from the average user. ;)
