minimum focusing distance is not the closest point which will be "in focus" but rather, the nearest possible "center of a zone" which is "in focus".

true of false?

i was thinking along the lines of, if i got a 21mm lens whose mfd is 50cm. then i shoot f/16 at 50cm, means i theoretically can get ~30cm still in focus.
(using the 1/3 infront of focus point and 2/3 behind focus point, will still be in focus theory)

EDIT: btw, you still shoot film? i kinda 1/2 way through my bulk roll of tri-x and development chemicals. feel like halting self processing and just hoot rolls from shop to shoot and let them process.
