this one I deposit 100k, get the status, then can withdraw the money immediately? any minimum holding period?

Uob only $100k (wealth banking) and need not maintain that amount after opening account. It has more new and modern banking lounge than maybank!

Officially have to maintain $100k at all times.
But it seems that the bank does not actively ask for top up if it fall below after some months. No charges imposed too.
Maybe because their banking lounges are pretty empty most of the time except the one at Scotts.

thanks, only the one on Scotts is meaningful to me as the others are too far away for me.

Anyone on UOB Wealth Banking? I'm on SCB Priority Banking and I see the value as I have some accounts overseas, but I can't see any useful benefits for UOB Wealth Banking so thinking if it actually makes sense to dump $100K for just that.

Any ideas anyone?

Which bank has the best lounge?

UOB Privilege banking lounge is the classiest I have seen. Situated at 20th floor of MBFC, it comes with first class sofa and has a great view of Marina Bay. A bank officer will escort you to the banking lounge as you have to go through tight security. I am not a member but just ask the counter staff just to let me take a look :).

In terms of number of banking lounges, I notice CitiBank has the most, but I guess they are just small sitting areas with TV, newspaper and drinks while you wait for your banking services. There are a few posh one as well, in Paragon and Church St. CitiGold service is worldwide and you may find some of their lounges in the airport.

Just pop in one of the banking lounge and ask them to show you around and tell you the benefits.

Unlike normal branch, in uob wealth centres, you wait at the comfortable banking lounge for your banking services and the counters only accessible by wealth banking customers are empty most of the time. The one at Scotts is the most popular. In normal branch, you can go to the priority queue.

No value for me for now lah. I would prefer people like SCB / HSBC for now because I have accounts across countries which does makes my life easier and the cross border recognition means fewer necks to squeeze

All the other perks, are really just good to have. Even as a normal UOB member, I've not waited more than 30 minutes everytime I visit the branch, and not to mention the fact that I've probably visited the branch only 2 times the past 3 years?

This one is in the next higher tier of banking.

The requirement for Maybank private banking is 1 mil and priority banking in $500k. Their priority lounge in Marine Parade is way less grand than the nearby Uob wealth banking at 112 Katong. Maybe they should consider reducing $500k to $100k to capture more clients in this sector.
