From MDA - Is consuming RS the only way to feed our gut?

No, definitely not. Other prebiotic substances matter, like various plant fibers (inulin, pectin), dark chocolate, and even connective tissue (yes, animal fiber - the crunchy gristle and cartilage too many people discard). With a Primal eating plan rich in plants and whole animals (including bones and broth), you should be getting plenty. But resistant starch is an important, unique prebiotic that makes feeding our gut a whole lot easier and more effective.

Interesting.

Not really - he is an ultra competitor

Re-read his article especially the front bit

LCHF works for most people and is a very good base even for athletes

But for those looking to be ultra competitive like him, it may not be enough

Anyway it's a n=1 experiment and results may vary

His main point is to find our own optimal level of nutrition cos we should know our bodies best haha

Personally i dont do so well on higher carb intake

Already stopped my potato starch intake for a week and my knee issue is clearing up...will wait for another week before resuming to see if that is the problem

n=1 tests can be painful :(

ya lor ya lor, n = 1.

but he does sound very convincing. :s13:

Use feedly to follow the well known bloggers like Mark Sisson, Rob Wolf etc

They are also on FB - just read and follow the links haha

Those who see my FB feed will know the number of articles I share daily hahaha

your FB got people follow one ah? :s34:

Congrats :)

Inches off more important (unless you are Twinnings) =:p

wah lau, in microns liao after that reduction procedure. :s34:

if they use starch, isnt that caking agent instead? :s13:

so what is it ah very confuse.

I was looking at shredded cheese in giant. I noticed that some brands it's not only cheese. it's cheese powder + anti caking agent + preservatives
den the packet also has chinese translation for the ingredients. Under the anti caking agent it was something (淀粉) so I presume it meant starch?
