Guys, appreciate if you can give me some help here.
My PS4 is connected to a passive HDMI switch which is connected to my headphone amplifier which is then connected to the Samsung TV. All are connected via HDMI cables.
After playing a PS4 game for about 5 minutes, the TV screen will turn black and the red lights on the HDMI switch will blink as if searching for a signal. I have tried switching between the HDMI cables with the other devices but this problem persists. If I connect the PS4 directly to the TV, the problem goes away.
Strange thing is, the other devices connected to the HDMI switch like my Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and media player do not have this problem. So I suspect it is a compatibility issue between the PS4 and the HDMI switch. Problem is, what is causing this incompatibility?
I read some forums that blame update 1.70 for this black screen. So I tried enabling HDCP and disabling HDMI-CEC like what the forums say but the problem still cropped up.
Any help?
