Take note our coordinator in SG had a muscle tear and hurt his leg while doing the last shipment.

So it's now confirmed that there's no shipment coming in June.
Early July's shipment are all taken.

FAQ:

Difference between Hard castors and standard castors?

Ans: Standard castors is fine on carpet and still works on hard floors.

Hard Castors has an additional rubber coating for better grip and traction to reduce gliding from chair on hard floor.
Your chair keeps better in place even on smooth surface so you are less likely to get out of position.

What's the setting for fully loaded?
Ans: It's with adjustable arms, forward tilt and tilt limiter. You will have to add on the rest separately.

Headrest's difference?
Ans: Please check out:
http://deluxeforums.hardwarezone.com.sg/70237863-post461.html

I personally highly recommend the fully adjustable mesh headrest.

Posturefit VS Lumbar pad's difference?
Ans: Posture fit can control exactly how much support with a knob, it can't go up-down and is fixed in position. Lumbar Pad can go up-down movement but with only two length of depth for support

I will recommend Posture fit, it not only supports the spine but the lower back muscles.
If you slouch, the lumbar pad may be pushed out of position.

Had not heard any complains before on Posture Fit, but sometimes on the lumbar pad.

Is it worth to get the Polished Aluminium?
Ans: Actually the polished aluminium is not only for the better look. IMHO the Chrome Plating seems to make it harder to scratch or scratches less visible.

Why it takes so long to arrive?
Even if you order from the local A.D, there's a good chance you will have to wait as long if it's not available on ready stock.
We go by ship which takes a long time to sail.
It's not only able to significantly reduce the cost of the chairs.
It reduces the chance of damage as handling by air freight is typically very rough compare to ocean freight.
When you go with air freight, they care about speed, not handling.
For Sea ship, there may be delays, subjected to
  • Enviromental factors - Weather or route taken for the best safety.
  • Customs delays - Need to pay for GST, apply permits, have inspections, etc
  • Warehouse delays - Need to que to unload
  • Fumigation process

So please be patient with your delivery as there's no way we can dictate the ship to sail faster nor have any tracking to know the exact location.

How long it typically takes to arrive?
If yours is an order with configuration listed on the MO, it's typically 8-10 weeks for delivery, but we always order in ahead of time so the waiting time narrows a little.

If your order is a configuration out of those listed on the MO, a custom ordered chair.
It will take much longer for delivery and subjected to delays.
As your order has to be made specially just 1 and have to fit into our available sailing dates.
Your chair may arrive too early, or come too late and need to wait for the next available sailing slot.

Typically a custom ordered chair takes 6-10 weeks just for Herman Miller to ship to the Vendor and the Vendor takes another week to ship to the Coast for shipping.
Shipping process takes about 6 weeks.

So it's necessary to wait at least 13 weeks for custom ordered chairs.

Once it's cleared from Singapore Customs, it only takes 1-2 days to arrange delivery on our side.
If self pick up, it will be fast, probably able to collect on next day.
If courier delivery, will take a little longer as the courier need to schedule on their own.
So you can see it's never us who is delaying, a bulk of the waiting time is actually from HM.

We referred to our invoice and realised that the annual increment from Herman Miller USA had already taken effect. This year, all chairs have a modest increment of US$10.

Thus all prices had been adjusted.
All orders as long not paid, are considered not taken, nor reserved.
All quotes given previously will be nullified and have to be based on the latest pricing.

Again, all chairs in the "End July" slot, not taken by the 30th June or 15th July(TBC), will all be reserved by a corporate group purchase.
Please do not submit any more orders for this "End July" slot after.

Note "End July" slot is a special one, as it's actually 2 shipments combined as one.
Following shipments should resume back to 8-10 pieces per month.

hmm is the Embody chair better than the Aeron chair?
Was just reading on that PostureFit thing and it seems really good. - is it all integrated into Embody?

(and the 3rd Party Headrest for Aeron.. does the Embody offer the same level of comfort and support?)

Aeron is a mesh chair, it don't trap heat thus you are less likely to fidget around to release uncomfortable spots that may have heat trapped.
With the head extension it can support all the way to the neck. Having more support one can maintain in posture longer or lean back more comfortably.

Embody is a cushion chair, it has a skeletal support frame which flexes and supports and can be calibrated to different resistance. It is softer and can be more comfortable due to the cushion but it does trap heat.
