apple make it to thin
so when play theset is not as solid as before

Not really. I think is due to lack of dampers or else is because of the metal design.

Well iPad 4 under loud volume also vibrates a little LOL

Bought my mini 2 and air 2 direct from Apple. Both iPads arrived within 48 hours

My mini had problems, Apple sent a replacement faster than they collect the faulty unit!

Nowadays I go to shop to check out the physical unit nia, then go home order online

So here's an update:

Having not gotten anywhere with istudio, I called apple up today. There were quite helpful (after being put on hold for about 30 mins altogether).

They called up istudio to quote the lemon law. And they asked them to do a one to one exchange. The apple chap said if istudio was not willing to swap then apple would most likely send a replacement to me. However, istudio did agree to swap one for me.

I went down today for the exchange and they gave me a new set. They "inspected" the old set for damage/wrong ipad/checked storage capacity/scratches/etc etc....

I asked the guy why did apple need to call them to sort out my issue... I told him that my experience with istudio was terrible and it shouldn't be that way. his answer was that they needed to "protect" themselves as people have previously returned/exchange items when no fault was present.

What a load of BS. Anyway, lesson learnt. Buy direct from apple. And hopefully, apple will open a real apple store to throw these cowboys out of business.

Retailers in Sg need to realise that the customer experience is as important as the sale. If I encounter crap experience, I will boycott that shop permanently and spread the experience to as many people as I know.

I've always had good customer service from apple. So if you guys encounter any problems, speak to apple. they usually try their best to sort it out.

Ask them to FO

I do IT sales, manufacturers take back my faulty units without questions. Don't know why these half past six dealers need to "protect" themselves this way...

Manufacturers usually no problem, it's the third party retailers here in Singapore that never accept returns for any reason, not just the Apple retailers. I guess there isn't a return culture here, everyone goes by once sold not returnable.

tons of BS, if anything I'd prefer to buy direct from vendor than shops because of situations like this, just wanna shrug this matter off their shoulders, anything ask you go service center.

My experience with EpiCentre is good. Actually they (EpiCentre and Nubox) have a standard 1-1 exchange for any faulty item within 7 days upon purchase. So it's strange that iStudio would not honor them.

Anyway, I bought a MFi lightning cable (Griffins) from IT show in Aug. the booth was under EpiCentre. Three months later the cable became faulty. I went to EpiCentre @ION. They suggested I went to the supplier instead. But I insisted I was not told I had to go to supplier. Anyway awhile later, they agreed to grant me a 1-1 exchange.

Thanks for sharing. I will not buy from iStudio from now on. The reasons they gave for not exchanging a new set for you is BS and does not relinquish them of the requirement to honor an honest and proper business practice. Whether customers will abuse or not, that is immaterial. Just goes to show they do not know the meaning of true customer service. That kind of mentality is so backdated.

hi bros,

my fren bought me an ipad as a gift from challenger on 19 dec. It was given to me on 28dec and found that theres a dent/scratch on the top right hand corner of the ipad.

i called the retailer and they mention they can't help as its over 7 days.

they refer me to service center. So i brought the device to service center for the replacement but they claim Apple reject their proposal. They gave me a case number and ask me to call Apple.

I called apple and after a long talk with a senior product specialist, he say can replace a brand new set, he ask me to collect my set from service center first and he will get back to me.

so i went to collect back, but now after 2 days le, he hasnt get back and when i try to call back i can't get to his direct line. any bros know how to call direct line based on the extension given?

So i called, and i was put onto another human relation from apple after cannot get to the product spec, and was told i can't change and they offer a cover to hide the scratch instead?

i was like???? it was fresh from the box and have not used it once and they say can't replace......

Any bros have an options for me?

Bro, this is considered cosmetic and not covered by warranty if I am not wrong. Somemore more than 7 days leh.....

In any case you got this as a gift, so just buy a case if there is nothing wrong with it. Mai hiam la. A refurbished set is not necessary a better one. More importantly your iPad is functioning as it should. Just a cent advice from me. Enjoy it :) cheers

Just bought an ipad air 2 cellular 128gb from istudio at plaza sing. The guy opened the box for me to check the ipad exterior. Did not switch on the ipad.

When I got home, switched it on and found either dust under the screen or dead pixels.... On max brightness, few (>10) pixels missing. When off, can see some dust/defect on the same area.

I promptly called istudio up and was told to go service centre as they checked it already and basically wash their hands off it.

What crap customer service is this? ipad sold was faulty and I called less than 24 hours and they said not their problem.

This is NOT how customer service should work in Singapore... especially in this day and age. They should provide one to one exchange like how a real apple store would if they want to call themselves a "premium reseller".

Really unhappy about this. Anyone else had similar experience? How was it resolved? I don't want a refurbished set. I want a brand new one. Apple is usually good with these sort of things.

Since 2012, I refuse to step into their shop already!

There are plenty of authorize retailers and there is also Apple online.

Your friend can either:

1. Buy it just before giving to you
2. Check the appearance and then wrap it and give u

After 7 days difficult to argue with retailers.

Always buy from Apple direct. There is absolutely no contest with the level of after-sales service they give you - 14 days no questions asked returns that collect from your doorstep.
