Kitchen is open concept?
If kitchen cum with dining then go for 12k should not wrong.
For living room for 12k is ok
The rest 2 room go for 10k should ok.

Just consider for 10 x 2 + 12 + 12 for system 4 :)
If needs more stronger airflow can consider for 18k also at living room that is another option.

Thanks for the tip bro :)

Yes, the kitchen is open concept as I hardly cook much.

I read that Mit and Pana ranks as good brands to buy?

Just install my Mit Sys 2 inverter and so far it's good.

I just set to 25 degree, it's so cold already and blower fan set at just 2 bars enough to cool the room within 45 mins.

The blower fan set at 2 bars is so quiet that it's feel the aircon was not on at all.

:)

Mitsubishi Starmex & Panasonic made where?

Pana made from China & assembly to malaysia and package from malaysia with exported to S'pore, but in future maybe would fully from thailand.

Mitsubishi ME or MHI both companies made from Thailand

To DW,

You can install a 18k btu fancoil on bathroom/W.C. 2 wall to cool down both dining & living.

Hi Terumo

As the fancoil is blowing more into the living area than the dining, will the dining area get cold as well?

To AciDJC,
These 2 brands are of similar quality.

To DW, actually the area requires ard 12k btu.
Thats why i suggest a oversized 18k btu to compensate for the location of the blower.

thanks, I just got the Daikin 3MKS50 with FTKS25 x3 from IMM
rerun new copper and drain pipe
free upgrade to yomato piping 3/8 45m

all in all $2805 include GST

not sure worth it or not.. but the salegirl say Daikin more reliable

so anything to take note when during the installation?

3MK50 = 5kw capacity x 3418 = 17k btu only, if switch on 3 units at same time the compressor works very suffer, no wonder that PCB not last up for long..

Also the price can consider for Starmex inverter that compressor at least bigger than Daikin.

3A28VA = 28k btu the cost including installed at around the same.

Just few month back mine bought from AllBest IMM.

yah, but some brands are more likely to be suay than other brands.. and if really suay then the post-sale technical support quality will matter..

To AciDJC,

If you seldom on 3 at the same time, 3mks50 is sufficient.
If you always use 3 at the same time, i suggest you upgrade to 3mks71.

think I will change to ME one as it got higher power, have to think of long run.. alternative will ask if change to SMKS71 how much more need to top up

the ME they have is the SCM60ZJ-S and SRK25ZJ-S, think should be enough to cool 3 rooms, also SCM60 has higher BTU then 3MKS50

Do not confuse, if you wanna change to MHI and rather stick back with Daikin and change to 3MKS71 will do..

MHI for SCM60 only.
ME for 3A28VA

ok, noted,

so if I got to choose betw MHI SCM60 and Daikin 3MKS71, which one should I go for, looking at reliability and long run usage

You are right. 3MKS71 much better than MHI.
Unless you go with Mitsubishi Electric : ME.

In term of cooling & quiet from ME do much better than all.
But no point, I guess ME much expansive a bit.

Panasonic, hitachi, Sharp, MHI all lower budget a bit.
Due to MHI FCU more difficult to maintenace, unlike ME have a easy clean access into blower.
