At SGD$287 and free Amazon delivery, its quite cheap.

It comes with the USD60 wireless controller thus making it a good bundle price.

heard that it has limited codecs decoder.
it doesn't really matter if vlc player support Android TV...does it?

Even if it doesn't do hardware decoding, the CPU is powerful enough that software decoding should not be a problem.

Still, those that is buying/bought it, please test and let me know.

Thanks.

I have several Android boxes, mainly from China. I gave up on them more than 6 months ago - ever since I got a Chromebox for Kodi. This Nvidia Shield looks promising but seems to be bias towards games (since it is Nvidia). I will wait to see how things unfold before picking up a unit.

i think this box is more for local media enthusiasts than just streaming....since the CPU/GPU is seriously overpowered for video...also, it's the first 4K certified mediabox..though u will need the 4k content, TV and HDMI cable to get it.
