Brief run through of the Synology Router Manager

I was running through the configurations available in the Synology RT1900ac's SRM. Though some of you might be interested to see how the Synology Router Manager looks like.

Anybody knows when it will be out in the shops in SLS? Looking for 1 to replace my Singtel Pace router.
Better confirm that it can support VLANs first.
From shadowandy's video of the config screens, I don't seem to see any vlan settings available.

Usually by default US branded routers will not come with vlan unless it's customised for Asian use. This is what I realised based on dlink products and linksys..

Dun see 802.1q settings anywhere. Did a lsmod and dun see 8021q kernel mod so I guess vlan is not supported on this firmware version.

Well this router is still less than 1 week old.
Possible later Firmware will include .... Hope So.

Anyone aware that the Router can work with Mio TV?
Not saying that: bridge the 2Wire and route traffic to RT1900ac

Were thinking of using the RT1900ac directly to replace the 2wire.
Saw an article saying Asus RT-N56U, actually works with predefined profile.

Any suggestion?

because the firmware of synology does not support vlan at all.

Sorry to hijack this thread to ask something.

Hi refred89, so VLAN capability is required on the router to support Singtel TV or Singtel Home Bundle Fibre? If I am using the Singtel issued Aztech 7009, I need to stick to LAN4 for Singtel TV?

Hi,

If a port on 7009 is connected to a switch, then the switch connects to the Singtel TV STB and also some other PCs, the PCs surf Internet?
Any requirement on the switch?
