can ask if you are attending any posture therapy? can recommend?
It won't help much.
They will tell you your posture wrong, tell you to strengthen the selected muscles but you will get back to the wrong posture very soon.
Until one day the ortho was kind enough to tell me get a good chair. Because the chair will simply force you to sit correctly rather than you try to remember correcting yourself.
To be frank, you will also forget which posture at what angle the therapist told you to maintain.
If you sit in a good posture for hours, even when you stand up, the muscles will remember and keep it that way.
Herman miller sell hospital range of furniture and are well recognised. It really works the most for me.
During my worst time with the slip disc. I can't even change from stand to sit or lay down position. The pain was so sharp, tear will ownself flow out. I could only stare at my bed for ten minutes don't dare to get down. Later I figured I have to fall down on the bed like a timber without bending the body to minimize the pain.
Later, it's a Thai massage lady who advised me to do the opposite of what the doctors said and it helps me the most. Now I can play sports with 95 pct of the pain eliminated.
But if I sit on a lousy chair again. Thr pain will come back immediately.
According to the physio, he told me that people after their 30s will have a higher chance of slip disc. Long time with bad sitting posture will slowly push the disc out,and any big action in the wrong posture can turn the condition very bad easily.
