Yup so shall change router and see how. Thanks again for the advice. Appreciated.
For the benefit of your network, it is good to use your own 3rd party router.

Buy a good router, it will last you at least 2 to 3 years.

Dont fix something that aint broken ma

My fibre was 200Mbps until over the many yrs singtel give free upgrade to 500Mbps now..

All along singtel has been a reliable isp for me. Except there was once that big islandwide disruption.

Same here. SingTel has been the most reliable for me so far.

The default firmware is good enough no need do extra flash custom firmware.
Sorry bro. You're wrong.
TX power increases require custom firmware.
My wifi auto connects when I've alighted from my bus. LOL

Thanks again. Decided to get ASUS RT-AC86U AC2900 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Router with MU-MIMO. Lazada price is $288.

Hope no issue with Singtel ONT and simple set up. Just wanna change SSID name and password first and the rest hope will be auto configured nicely.Try to figure out the other functionalities later.

There's a reason why the TX power is kept at certain strength to pass certain certification.

I've played with DD-WRT since the beginning with Linksys days since ancient of days.

Ha-ha, IT show more expensive @329, also same price in challenger. I suspect Lazada set might be from China and some retailers are going as low as 250 but need to wait for 2 weeks as set is sent from China.

Will check with Lazada where they import and local warranty. Thanks bro...

Looks like it is a done deal, at least for me that Google February Update does not play nice with my Singtel WiFi Gigabit Router AC Elite. Actually think of changing phone but on second thoughts if it is the update compatibility issue with Singtel router, then any phone with forthcoming February update will kena too.

Any Pixel 2 XL owners here can recommend any routers that you are using with no issue? Am I correct to say Singtel BB can only use Singtel ONT? (apology as not really familiar how this works).

Thank you
I took an unusual path. I use a MikroTik AP. (quick look: https://zitseng.com/archives/14274)

It's very configurable, I use it primarily in multi-SSID multi-VLAN bridged and not routed setup. Works well with Pixel 2 XL of course.

If not local then confirm no warranty.

That one is much of a hassle for the average home consumer to setup and deploy.
