hi all, i just got my phone delivered from Asus, bought on Lazada.

In case anyone is wondering, the local set does include a case in the box. And there is no NFC on this model.

I just got my 1st OTA today. 1st Dec 18 android security patch level. Still on oreo tho.
Not saying it wouldn't get updates. Just that prepared to be disappointed if you want to play with 3rd party ROM.

Asus must answer why is it only certain builds of this model have NFC and those for SG & MY don't have. Same case for the earlier Max Pro M1.
Their loyal fans deserve an honest explanation from them.

Really is very unprofessional sort of practice. Sian...

Dear members, as fergsu guessed, there seems to be a mistake in the information disseminated to the press and I've just confirmed it with ASUS after seeing all the responses here.

I'm sorry to disappoint that the ASUS Max Pro M2 will not have NFC support in Singapore.

We'll update our article as soon as we can and we sincerely regret any inconveniences caused. We're equally disappointed upon hearing the response from ASUS.

Last but not least, the phone is finally available for purchase:-
