you don’t get to own it, if you have the needs for development, go ahead

i just bought apple developer license although i'm not a developer
waiting for apple to accept then i'll wack the development kit

around $800 per mac mini, go carousell and sell also should be able to get at least 1k
i'll buy 10 once my developer account is successful

The Mac mini needs to return after 2 years, I am not sure will Apple refunds after that.

You do know that they will definitely have a ton of applications and will be giving limited kits out so they'll look at your existing applications...

Sounds funny though

I am quite sure your application will be rejected. Furthermore, do you realise that this is just a rental?

https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2020/...apple-silicon/

Apple Developer Program members can start moving their apps to Apple silicon today by applying for the Universal App Quick Start Program. The program provides access to documentation, forums support, beta versions of macOS Big Sur and Xcode 12, and includes the limited use of a DTK, which will enable developers to build and test their Universal 2 apps. The DTK, which must be returned to Apple at the end of the program, consists of a Mac mini with Apple’s A12Z Bionic SoC inside and desktop specs, including 16GB of memory, a 512GB SSD, and a variety of Mac I/O ports. Developers can apply to the program at developer.apple.com, and the total cost of the program is $500.

Why want to abuse a developer kit this way.

I guess supplies are limited. Give way to someone who really needs it for development

Developers Begin Receiving Mac Mini With A12Z Chip to Prepare Apps for Apple Silicon Macs

Of course no benchmark and probably no ifixit style tear down.
