from my 1 week of using the watch,

this stand is not relevant.

why?

i reached home, i can practically take off my watch to charge. I do not need to receive any notification. I will be playing with the kids and if there is an unread whatsapp msg, so be it. People who need to contact me can call my hp or home phone and it will ring.

So watch is charging, phone is somewhere.

and so far, i realised that the watch charges very quickly. 1-1.5 hours, then done. then i off the watch.

the next morning then turn on again.

conclusion: there is almost no need to have the phone and watch to be charged concurrently.

my 2 cents la.

In general, we do not need a case for the watch. It is more of a 'want'. I share the same sentiment as others that it reduces the watch's aesthetics. But... I can't help myself putting on cases on my digital devices - so I got one for the watch. ;-)

to take a step back,
the watch is already a want.....

who needs up to date notification and phone call alert.

its only good to have.

and maybe when driving, "HEY SIRI" is damn useful (for me)

Just to make it neat. A lot of cables messing up the table. Haha!

after an hour on the phone with 3 staff (one apple support staff, one senior adviser, one product specialist), Apple finally agreed to give me a replacement unit.

GOSH. Two days of bouncing b/w service centre and apple online support. one of the worst experiences ever.
update.

got my replacement watch earlier today from QCD. sent in my watch last friday, got message yesterday that the replacement is ready for collection.

brand new set in a slimmer box with just the casing. checked inside out. happy! think i gonna buy the applecare liao.

Have used the watch recently for navigation via the app city mapper and I really love the turn by turn alerts. Quite accurate :) better than my former Gear S

Anyone here using the watch for cycling? What application do you use other than strava?
