Dandenong Ranges - worth it?

Is this worth a day trip? I am travelling alone and not driving. Is it doable via public transport? Have tried looking for day tour but doesnít seem to have much choices for me to choose from unlike the other more popular places.

Other than this, I have already planned a day trip each to GOR and Phillip Island.

Yes. When I was there was too windy so I skipped. Need pay $7 to enter the park for car entry.
