Hi all,

It's gonna be my first time in Perth this coming December.

I'll be renting a car for only 3 days following my itinerary. My mistake is that I booked an accommodation without an available parking lot so for that 3 days I will have to park somewhere overnight.

I am staying at Murray street. I need advise (I know the parking costs are like buying a tank) on where and how do I park overnight (the timing for night parking)?

Thanks guys!

Night parking should be free in the city.. look around the streets. But you need to move out in the morning say 730 or 830

Just had the look at the map for you, you can try parking on Hay st, if not head to St George terrace or Adelaide terrace, plenty of parking there, usually free from 630 or 730 onwards.

1/2P means 1/2 hr, 1P - 1hr, 2P - 2hr

These means you can park free for that amount of time

There's also 1P ticket etc which you need to pay.

Generally in the evening it's usually free..

Sorry but I think it means the maximum hour you can park? Eg 1P means can park 1 hour maximum only.

Hi all, I need some help in understanding the 'City of Perth' parking charges in CBD:
https://www.cityofperthparking.com..../pdf/CPP Parking Guide 2018-19 v3 FOR WEB.pdf

17. FIRE STATION
Entry / Exit
1 Murray Street and Hay Street
Hours 24 hours
Fees
Hourly Mon - Sun $3.50 - Motorcycle $1.00
Night maximum Mon - Sun (6.00pm to
5.59am) $8.00*
Weekend & Public Holiday maximum (6.00am to
5.59pm) $11.00* - Motorcycle $4.00*

Example if I am parking overnight from 8PM to next day 9AM, is the following charges correct?

$8+$3.5*3 = $8 + $10.5 = $18.5

If so, that would mean it is cheapest to park here as compared to hotel parking which usually cost $30~$50

You can just park free by the street after 730pm or 8.. till next morning 8am or so...

Considering 'The Westin Perth'

You can use google map, search for the street, then click on the 360 degrees view. Can zoom in to see the hours (like 8am-6pm etc), or click on the road to move forward, or turn left/right etc.

Thanks! But it looks like only free from '12 to 6'?

Not possible, that's right in the heart of the city... you have to head further out which i proposed in my earlier reply.
Thanks for the reply.
What about Sunday? The sign says 12noon to 6PM no fee.
So before 12PM and after 6PM?

In AMAT post, seems like in Murray St also can park free after 6PM right?

Possibly, you have to be there to look at the sign..
