gentle reminder......

There are some 41,000 Private Hire Car Driver’s Vocational Licence (PDVL) holders in Singapore, of which 44.4 percent are aged between 20 and 39 years.
1 new rule can wipe off 10k easily , if they want to

It's a Exam test Question I saw in Paper 2 on 14.06.2019 I take:
1. When passenger leave you must check if they leave anything behind (True or False)
2. What is penalty for keeping passenger item left in car for more than 7 days?
Answer: 24 demerit points and license revoked
3. Penalty for keeping passenger item less 7 days
Answer: 12 demerit points and immediate suspension

i tot #3 answer is 200+5 points ?

And not forgetting the 21,000 Taxi. So there's 41,000+21,000= 62,000 drivers on the road daily trying to earn a living.

Here's a simple statistics diagnostic:
According to a Taxi ridership data taken in 2013(when there is no phv yet) it's 1.02 mil. So 1,020,000÷62,000= 16.4trips/driver, still feel PHD jht now?
Not all are full timers

Grab driver’s act of greed at Changi Airport leaves family stranded without passports, valuables
By WONG PEI TING

SINGAPORE — After his passengers left a bag containing passports, cash and other valuables in his car when they alighted at Changi Airport, a 48-year-old Grab driver acted as if nothing had happened.

Christopher Chan Fook Choy even lied to the ride-hailing firm about the bag — then kept the cash and phone, and dumped the passports and other identifying items in a rubbish chute.

The PDVL/TDVL course should inculcate in students that honesty is the best policy when it comes to driving.
With all due respect and IMHO - theory and practice are different just like those in Ivory Towers and men on rhe ground
