How much is dirt cheap?

Saw it is 68k for the basic model.

Must be at least 50k then can consider...

Fit/Jazz at 50k?(with current COE's value?)

You don't need to consider(if it is 50k now) as many may buy before you le ba.

Keep dreaming...sorry I mean thinking(hard).

Sainterly 25-10-2018 01:30 AM

Currently it very cheap for the very very basic 1.3 jazz. 1.5 fit petrol.
Around 65-69k. but very very basic type.

How basic is basic? Rear drum brakes? Fabric seats? No motorised side mirrors?

Back to year 2006. Jazz 1.3 was selling at 55k with 10k coe.

Now coe 25k. It is selling at 68k. But then the PARF after 10 years is low since 1.3 has 10k ves rebate. Probably 2k.

yup. bought my Jazz 1.3 10yrs ago (in 2008) with 10k COE.
the PARF value was $20k+, which I can take back $10k after scrap.

As for the PARF value for current Jazz 1.3 (1mth ago) was only $7k (after deducting VES rebate),
which means the take back after 10yrs is only $3.5k.

Think if you look at 2006-2009 period kind of pricing to look at buying a car today, you no need to drive already :o

Coz someone earlier replied that waiting for jazz to drop to 50k. That is provided coe also drop to the kind of 2006 - 2009 level. Personally I feel 25k is alright to buy already. Mine current car coe price is 50k.

They are not the one paying so its easy for them to say. I also think current COE prices are reasonable.

eg car A coe @ $50k, selling price $100k
now coe @ $25k (not sudden dip but stable @ $25k)
selling price should be $75k right

lower COE higher margin for AD?

dnsfpl 25-10-2018 03:30 PM

when sudden increase they will increase immediately
but dip must wait dunno how many cycle then reduce price

they forgot the purpose of COE rebate liao
trying to squeeze more $ from consumer

HondaJG 25-10-2018 03:34 PM

Pre-FL and FL both are 128 horses. The old GE 1.5 is 118-120bhp.

Can I get some confirmation on this? Every website talking about the new facelift talks about it having a new engine that is 128 horses over the previous 118.

If the facelift is only aesthetic and no other changes to engine, gearbox etc ... then if all goes well with my current company some time down the road say 1 year + or 2 years later I might buy a pre-FL let The Other Half drive  so she can drive the kids if I need to work, and can drive me home if I need to drink with clients :s34:

Great ... but what differences are there besides the aesthetics? Gearbox any difference? Or that Honda Sensing thing?

I personally prefer the outlook of the pre-FL :o

Gearbox I donít think there is any diff

Jazz and Fit does have differences , especially accessories in Fit is more than Jazz eg 6 airbag etc , also if you into mods , Jazz has no approve exhaust while Fit have when both using same engine

Jazz doesnít come with Honda Sensing , only Fit have

But if you want to find a GK5 Fit , good luck , is even rarer than unicorn :)

It was the opposite during the GE era, Jazz more accessories than Fit, and Jazz 1.3 1.5 all are all disc brakes while Fit even 1.5RS also drum brakes unless specifically buy the 1.5RS ďSĒ spec. 1.5 to 1.5, Jazz OMV > $20k, Fit ~$15k.

Srsly. Approved exhaust isnít a deal breaker. Unless driving manual, people who go for aftermarket exhaust are usually n00bs who donít know any better ;)

Just a figure of speech. High 50+ to low 60 can start considering...

Fit RS GK5 is what I talking about ;)

Nowadays if you see fb , a lot Jazz owners regret after knowing Jazz has no approved exhaust ..

Is jazz or fit generally affordable for first cars?

No own car before, only drive family car.
Last time i driving modified grand vitara drink a lot petrol.

Point A to B and carry some goods.

Dont think gonna modify, maybe better tyres.
