Purchase price I think is pretty reasonable from what I see on sgcarmart. Maintenance, warranty & support I'm not too sure because never own a car before. Car mainly used to ferry my family around and to work lor. Next work place high chance in the western part of sg (I stay east side). Have always liked the Jazz/FIT but now got hybrid and petrol engines so not quite sure to plonk my money on which one.

then your estimated mileage per day (home@east to work@west and back home@east)?
estimated daily mileage is 82.3?

if base on the above, annual mileage is about 19,752?
if go by 10yrs, total estimated mileage is 197,520?

which personal travel, family travel have not included in the count yet.
possible hybrid instead and may want to consider other hybrid cars too..

The efforts to help is very commendable. I absolutely agree to this intention.
At the same time, this forum as we understood also has its responsibilities to paid advertisers. The information is going to, in principle reduce their sales figures and forum admin and mods have a 'pay-master's' obligaton to fulfill. So, yes, unfortunately you are right in terms of the concept of potential jealousy from these stake holders. :(
I do also suggest that we can bring the beneficial discourse to PM. The magnitude of assistance to the members might be lesser but at least does not violate the turf owner's agreement with their payers.

go for Hyundai Avante 2019 (replacement for Elantra)?

booking already started, but will be in the showroom Nov End.
you will need to verify again on the price.

me not a fan of Korea cars at this point of time. may look into it later..

At least you're collecting your ride. Those that book at this price will need to wait another 5 months or so. :o

iCubes 23-11-2018 01:25 PM

Trade-in value will also drop i think. All the old cars COE priced so high, people would rather buy a new car now.

Don’t see why not as long it is road worthy, just go to workshop and check before trip if worry. 110km/h should be ok and make plenty of stops if single driver.

go to a reputable workshop which checks every single crucial parts and component before doing that.

the worst thing that can happen is to have a breakdown there and dang, ggfied.

MOBIO.sg 09-12-2018 01:58 PM

Hi , thanks for the reply! Will certaintly do a check before on road trip to port dickson. Anything i need to take note of? And for security purpose , can i take out my starter fuse and with a brake lock to deter theft of vehicle? Sorry for the noob qns. Thanks in advanced!

Eighty7 09-12-2018 02:39 PM

Donít do a full inspection just 1 day before the trip . Give buffer of 2-4 days. In the event some workshop never tighten parts properly and may leak. A buffer is a safer way to approach

MOBIO.sg 09-12-2018 04:31 PM

Thanks bro! Will heed ur advise , will be doing my servicing , some parts replacement and also change of tyre before going up few days before.

Just adhere to the speed limit bro... Forget others said about top speed! Safety is most important. Go happily and come back happily.

MOBIO.sg 10-12-2018 02:25 PM

Hi bro! Thanks for the advise! Will adhere to the speed limit , just worried about the rest point. Heard some places is quite dangerous.

Hi Mobio,

Just try to park with the others.
Do not isolate and park in 1 dark corner.
Have a direct view of your car while resting with your coffee.
