You need to ask KM what's included first. Google for a recommended servicing schedule for your car model.

Different years means different parts shud be changed (besides engine oil, you have atf, spark plus, belt etc etc).

KM's package should be twice a year I think. So that's 4 servicing.

You can check outside how much it costs.

Another thing though, your car shud still be under warranty. Check with KM to ensure it won't void if you do outside. They are not supposed to void due to anti-competition regulations a couple of years back. But just check anyway to have peace of mind.

thats why minor go outside workshop, and major go back to AD

anyone knows the estimated costs for servicing on the 4th and 5th year at other workshops? I am contemplating to buy a 2 year servicing package from KM that costs S$1,200 before GST for 4x servicing on the 4th and 5th year.

Your question is answered.... :D

I concur :)
Since concern is the major servicing, sign the service extension with AD less headache.

Although they might be a bit more expensive, they are the ones providing warranty, so in general they have vested interest in doing it properly.

Also, we are talking about a Jazz here. It's not a conti car where the diff between AD and private workshop can be up to 3x the cost.

I never tried, only ask for maintenance quotation.

I tagged along with my friends (ie. kapo and go down to see see look look), and they switched to another workshop after 2nd/3rd servicing (ie. heard complaints here and there).

caught one of them once when they never did tyre rotation, but they claim they did :s13::s13:

thanks all for your replies!

it looks like i will need to find out what servicing will be done for the 4th and 5th year, then compare it w outside workshops.

my warranty is for 5 years - so that should cover the parts

veryhonestguy 03-06-2019 09:10 PM

Not all parts is warrently , they will have this wear and tear :)

true la.. wear & tear items are not part of warranty (eg. brake pads, spark plugs, etc..)
these are additional costs on top of servicing and warranty :)

veryhonestguy 04-06-2019 11:31 AM

Plus thing like leaking engine oil and such are all tear and wear

how to classify leaking engine oil under wear and tear?
do you mean that all cars will have leaking engine oil after certain number of years? :s13:

definition for wear and tear is the damage that happens to an object in ordinary use during a period of time :s12:

veryhonestguy 04-06-2019 12:03 PM
