Yes , It surprise me also :) but it actually a common problem for beemer
Due to gasket , oil pan , seals and such that will give way as your cars get older

thanks all for your replies!

it looks like i will need to find out what servicing will be done for the 4th and 5th year, then compare it w outside workshops.

my warranty is for 5 years - so that should cover the parts

This workshop has a checklist of what to service at each interval:
http://www.autosaver.com.sg/service_honda.htm

Take it that every year you drive 10k on average.

They have a price also, just use as comparison. No need to go.

I dun use them as they do not seem to have the equipment for hybrid cars, but from a quick search, reviews seem ok. There are folks who switched over to them from AD and stayed on. And of course, who specifically to look for, coz not all mechanics are equal.

Wah, and in a rare turn of events due to Cat B CoE prices, my Hybrid price "appreciated" sia. 2nd hand Fit Hybrid same age as mine is now more expensive than what I paid for 1st hand...

Shud have bought a 2nd one to flip hahahha. Of coz, whether I can sell at that price is a different story lah. 2nd hand car dealers will bargain down the price ppl sell to them, and mark up the selling price. Potentially earn double if they can find buyers.

10k a year is considered low mileage. I’d say estimate of no less than 15k for ”average” users.

I dropped Autosaver because Defu Lane ”HQ” relocated to Changi and tao chiew not there, Toh Guan good mechs left, and Kaki Bukit closed down. Bobby really need to wake up his idea :s8:

This word "WARRANTY" has many interpretation bro..... Almost 99% car owners take it that in the event of car/parts failures, feels safe because is covered by "WARRANTY"
As long as AD interpret as "W&T" parts, no warranty liao.
Look through or ask in details from SE what is covered and what is not covered under warranty.

Ooo, yeah hor, the 2nd hand one no bodykit or sports rims some more... I doubt these can fetch higher prices, but will make it easier to sell only.
