The perception that hybrids are slow is mainly due to the success of the Toyota Prius hybrids.

Honda's design concept is very different from Toyota's.
Ever wished the that there there's a R Type turbo version of the 1.5 Fit/Jazz?
The Fit hybrid is as close as we can get for now.

Honda uses the electric motor to boost the torque and power of the 16 valve DOHC i-Vtec engine. It's hitting Cat B CoE not because of engine size (which is smaller than 1.6L), but because of power.

Today's Hybrids are no longer what we have been accustomed to over the past 10-20 years. I had to change my mindset as well. Manufacturers of sports cars are also catching on, and are making hybrids for performance rather than just FC.

I had a thread on the possibility of self-importing a UKDM version of a Japanese car ... the reason being the UKDM has 30 horses more than the JDM. Both Hybrid.

I had even started talking to the shipping company. But while they do this for a living and can help with a lot of the paperwork, there are still a lot of stuff that's still very time consuming. Worst part is if I fail homologation, very troublesome.

Fellow Fit driver here. But just wana rant about the irritating sound of the AC compressor cycling on and off. It's so annoying that I can no longer listen to soft music during drives. I can only ramp up the volume in order to hide the wretched metallic clicking sound the compressor makes every 10secs.

And the roof lining wil make a buzzing zzzz sound when driving on uneven roads.
FC and handling is great for this car, jus let down by the severely poor NVH and build quality.

Car is less than 6mths old, by the way :(

Most probably gg to cut my losses and change to Avante when car rched 6mths old.
