Just pay for AA inspection. That’s AA ... not STA, not Vicom. Very comprehensive inspection.

SGCarMart also does a very comprehensive inspection on cars going for Quotz auction, but I’m not sure if they do for regular car buyers. If they do, they can even measure paint thickness to tell you whether there was any spraying or cement patching done.

Most trusted mech is those from your trusted workshop.
Even you spend alot on checkings, the results maybe positive or a A, A-....ect. Problems usually arises when you driven it for awhile.

How details checks you want it to be? AC checks: is cold and pressure is good, verdict: Pass. Engine top and below, no oil seepage, verdict: pass.
Transmission no noise, shifting of gears smooth. Verdict: Pass.
Suspension checks, no oily shocks absorbers and noise when up and down humps, Verdict: Pass.
Full steering, no noise or knocking noise, Verdict: Pass.
In summary, all based on visual and noise.

Buy with leap of faith and keep fingers crossed. Buying pre-own is always a gamble and luck...

Good luck dude

wow! so huge difference btw with & without LX? 6k?
without LX also do not have solar film? reverse sensor? floor mat? 1ch?

are you sure this is for Jazz 1.5? I yet to see the updated info on KM and sgcarmart website.

it could be there were number of Jazz 1.5 buyers whom do not want everything, in order to lower the cost.
& they did all the accessories installation outside of KM, except 2 more years of fee servicing & $500 after sales e-credit valid for 1 year

Is it worthwhile to pay for the LX? I understand that the additions for LX are:
• 2 more years of fee servicing
• Solar Film
• Floor Mats
• Reverse Sensor
• Reverse Camera and Sports Rims
• Front DVR in-car Recorder
• $500 after sales e-credit valid for 1 year
• Leather seats
and what else?[/QUOTE]

I feel Reverse sensor and reverse camera are really important to have the moment u receive your brand new car. Take a Look at those PHV vehicle with damage rear and u will know. Even with reverse sensor is not enough. Reverse cam help a lot. Especially in parallel parking.

The rest like are not that important.

Visited the recent motorshow, I think Nissan Note and Hyundai Accent might be suitable for those whose main consideration is price. Nissan Note Base model (one above lite with leather seats, front back cameras, reverse sensor etc) is around 5-6k cheaper than Jazz 1.3 non LX (with leather upgrade and cameras, reverse sensor). I thought Hyundai Accent at just below 70k was a decent deal as well for those who is looking for a Sedan.

Take note that KM ”standard” installation height of reverse sensors tends to be on the high side ... those kerb that your rear bumper can clear, you reverse until your rear tyres touch the kerb also no single-continuous-beep. And the reverse sensors are locally-fitted, usually made in Thailand no-brand product.

you are right. other than the essential components, the rest of accessories could be from other Asia countries (eg. Thailand, China, Vietnam, Malaysia)..

Was told by my SE that it will only arrive year end or early next year.
I think the current Jazz price is already sort of like clearance already.
If you look at LTA car cost from Dec 2019, KM is making about $9k profit per basic Jazz 1.3 that they sell.
I think that is pretty low profit for any car right now.
