THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS! =)

StormRider’s answer is updated and corrrect.

How will I be notified on the collection of my Vocational Licence? Where do I collect my Vocational Licence?

Before 15 February 2018
If you passed the Private Hire Car Driver’s Vocational Licence (PDVL) competency test before 15 Feb 2018, you will receive a letter in about 4 weeks on the details to collect your PDVL at LTA, 10 Sin Ming Drive (Mon to Fri - 8am to 4.30pm, Sat - 8am to 12pm).

On/After 15 February 2018
If you passed the Private Hire Car Driver’s Vocational Licence (PDVL) competency test on/after 15 Feb 2018, you may collect your Temporary PDVL from your training provider with your result slip. This Temporary PDVL is valid for 6 months from the date of issue. With the Temporary PDVL, you can start providing chauffeured services using a Private Hire Car.
LTA will send you a collection notice in about 4 weeks with instructions on how to collect your PDVL at any of the 26 post offices islandwide. You will need to book an appointment for the PDVL collection through any SAM machines. From 23 Apr 2018, you can also book an appointment using the app SingPost SAM or through the SAM website.

Bruder, again.
Urs is proper\normal working hours.
Really no other solutions than commercial driving?

Thank you.

Weekdays i can drive
7am to 1pm (6 hrs)
3pm to 6pm (3 hrs)
10pm to 1am. (3 hrs)

Weekends no limit.

Hard to find other solutions with such timing.

The hours not enough to make a living after deducting costs?

Noted on the hrs.
But pls look after health since age also catching up.
1am to 7am = 6hrs of rest or even shorter.

Can live, scrimp abit and will be more lax when children grows up

long term it will not work.

Try rent 1 month FT do those hours and you will find that rest is insufficient and EVERY day, you need to drive.

After rental and fuel before taxes, CPF, MEDISAVE estimated S$2.8K.

Maybe your wife can help with teaching kids so you have 8 hours sleep per day.

Insurance Excess and accident claims is a major consideration plus return vehicle need to return in proper condition.

Costs add up.

Thank you for the caution. Good point on having sufficient rest.

As some bro said, rent short term first and try adjust your timing, suggest take a short nap after fetch kids then drive 6pm-11pm so can have enough sleep.

Take 25-30gross/hr as a guide for ph and calculate yourself, not sure about taxi as I only do ph.

Brudder, there should be “meet the taxi companies” sessions before, during and after the lessons, of which ComfortDelgro was the most memorable (it gave a blue-yellow key chain).

Can find out about trials, short term rentals, benefits, etc when they visit.

To add on, base on timings.
Not possible for gys, as bruder has daily family routines to commit.

Otot gys only suitable for freelancers.
Tds really got no luxury to do other sidelines already.
Times have changed.
