tire lifespan

Hello,

a question.

understand a tire lifespan is usually 2-4 years or 40k mileage.
does that include rotation?

my stock tire going to hit 40k, slightly over a year but i saw the thread is still thick..
although very noisy..

yeah.. but if you align once every while, its actually quite ok.

in my last car..
i never do tire rotation..
the newer tire always go to the front, once hit 50k then i will place them at the rear and change another 2..

now..
the rotation is done by KMC..
hence i thought with rotation, it can last 80k..
since 40k in front, the other 40k at the rear

thats my logic..
my apology

The rubber will degrade over the years sometimes is not just about the mileage.

Michelin tyres standard max 3years must change. Mileage not a problem.

Yes...

good rule of thumb is 2.5yrs and 40k

My front tyre burst around that time with that mileage and now I waiting to trade in this car for a new car I ordered.

Really like driving scared everyday .... another 2 weeks to go!
