I don’t intend to bring much cash.
Does most of their shops accept master card?

Or get Unionpay from ICBC or BOC in SG. I use it as my ATM card over there and it's like NETS over there too.

Sent from Medellín using GAGT

There are many many buildings there near Guangzhou Railway Station. Which one would you recommend? I have been there once, but got so lost because there are too many buildings there. And it seems to be mostly selling women's clothes.
The men's clothing store are like selling china design. Don't exactly look tasteful.

The wholesale centre near Guangzhou Railway Station have clothes, fake sneakers, Rolex watches, etc. It is actually a huge area with many malls, multiple levels. Bangkok Chatuchak is only 1 ground level over a big area.

Guangzhou

Visited Guangzhou last year for a short getaway. Found it a pleasant place, easy to get around using their MRT. In fact, we took MRT from airport to our hotel, and back.

This video shows you our transit from Guangzhou Baiyun to our hotel. We stayed at the China Hotel, a Marriott Hotel. Bought a 3 day pass from the MRT station at the airport.

Took Public Bus #24 to Baiyun Mountain. Plenty of locals.

Took the cable car up. It would get very crowded later, so go early.

Also took the metro to Shamian island.

ShangXiaJiuJie - their shopping street

Walked around Li Wan Plaza. Quite intimidating!

I did not visit Xiqiao Mountain- it appears to be far away from downtown Foshan where the Zumiao is. However it does look like a scenic place. From Zumiao, the MRT also takes you to Nanfeng Kiln which is interesting in its own right.
