No kidding, I also using non smart TV and my netflix time heavily outweighs the gaming time
Haha same here.

Although the Netflix a BIT slow to start, but at least no need to plug my laptop to the TV or get Chromecast which seem to be troublesome also.

Was browsing the SG psn store this morning for new releases. There are 220 new DLCs for Gran Turismo Sport, each is a car at $1.20 to $3.70. When GT Sport was first released, it was critised for the small number of cars included in the game. Well, now they solved the problem, there are 220 new cars added, at probably $300 or $400. Ok, at least they say "this item can also be acquired by progressing in the game", I am guessing a lot of grinds are involved, but wtf with the microtransactions. This flood of DLCs is becoming like Musou games or Arc System Works fighting games.

Actually liddat means the total amount of cars in the game never increase. Isn't it?

Got increase lah, originally like only 20 cars or something (can't remember exact number). So they added 220 new ones that you can slowly grind (I assume) in-game to unlock or pay real money to buy.

Quick question:

did some research but still cannot decide: PS4 Pro or Slim?

I know Pro has 1TB storage etc. but in terms of performance and lifespan?
Btw, are there any PS4 games in 4K? Thinking about whether I should get a 4K monitor.

Thankss

Since you did not mention price as a consideration, then ps4 pro is definitely the way to go, even if you don't have a 4k TV. There are already many games that benefit from the extra horsepower of the pro, even in non-4K settings, and that list of games will only continue to increase. But if you do have a 4k setup, even better.

Many AAA titles have excellent 4k support. To name just two, horizon zero dawn and god of war both look absolutely spectacular in 4k. You have to see it to believe it.

gonna buy dragon quest for sept instead, i will wait for spiderman actual review in case it became overhype by media although the gameplay so far seems nice.

Have there been any issues with PS4 Slim such as overheating, or dying within a couple of years etc?

I had a PS2 slim and it's still going strong although recently had to change its laser lens. If the difference is not big then I would definitely go for slim again for $200 less, if there are not major issues, especially when PS5 is coming out.
But what you mentioned about Pro is definitely appealing.
