Ya, in May only US and EU ps+ has Tropico 5. Asia/SG probably in June ba. Asia often is playing catch up, especially when a game not published on Asia store before (like most indie games) becomes PS+ game, then Asia will scramble to try and get it up. In April, Shutshimi was on US and EU but Asia never had the game before, so they push it to May and by doing so they probably have to push Tropico to June (even though Tropico is already on Asia store).

SG/Asia PSN Store

Battlefield 4 ... S$12.90
Battlefield Hardline ... S$12.90
Battlefield 4 Drgon's Teeth DLC ... free
Battlefield Hardline Robbery DLC ... free

PS4 and PS3 version same price (not cross-buy though)

You can grab the free DLCs first even if you don't have the main games and don't want to buy yet. I don't know whether the DLCs are cross-region compatible.

Edit: US version discounted to US$9.99, those 2 DLCs free as well.

EA announced today:
A new Battlefield is coming later this year, and we’re celebrating by keeping the action going in Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline. Over the next few months we’ll be giving away previously released expansion packs for both games to anyone playing on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Origin for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. There are also new Community Missions and a whole lot more to get excited about.

Is it always like this for the past few years?

Hi PierceLee,
There is always a question of whether canada or u.s. playstation purchase i have in mind.
For example watch dogs gold edition is us19.99 and canada is cad19.99. Exchange rate for sin to u.s. is about 1.45 and canada is 1.1. So it be better value to buy at canada store. I realise the older games prices match but different currency for these 2 stores, only newer game titles canada has slighly higher price. Maybe there is some few game titles missing at canada store but what other things i miss out.

Very good point, I haven't checked out Canada PSN yet. Only bought some games from Amazon Canada before (good price but very very slow, like 2 to 3 months delivery).

I always have the impression that it's more expensive than US PSN cos the Canadians keep complaining about higher prices. Games on PSN are not priced at CAD59 for USD59 titles but higher, Sony doesn't use CAD1 = USD1. So maybe that just applies to new titles, the older games or games on sale could be 1:1, which makes Canada PSN cheaper.

As far as I know both PSN store contents are the same (except the possibility of certain titles being banned in Canada, which I am not aware of any) and they have the same sales since both are run under the same PSN region. (Can't say the same about Asia PSN though - SG store has different contents from HK/TW stores, in particular we don't get Chinese version of many games and HK/TW don't get the English version of those same games. Go figure.)

We certainly need to explore this alternative Thanks for bringing this up. Time to create a Canada PSN account

Thanks for the lobang on the US$7 for US$10 PSN card deal. Do post here if you see such goodies

Did some exploring and here's my findings:

Canada PSN price vs US PSN price

- Comparing the current Ubisoft Sale prices: Far Cry Primal US$47.99 CAD$63.99, The Crew Wild Run edition US$19.99 CAD$24.99, The Division US$49.79 CAD$66.39. So basically PSN store does adjust the discounted prices accordingly (it's not like the same US$20 product is sold at CAD$20). Checking the exchange rate, the US store price is actually a tiny bit lower than Canada store.

- But as you noted, some games are 1:1, like Watch Dogs US$19.99 CAD$19.99, so those are cheaper on Canada PSN. IIRC, the prices used to be 1:1 like that but some time back (not sure when, a year or two ago, probably longer) Sony started to vary the exchange rate, so olders games like Watch Dogs might be cheaper on Canada but newer games are about the same price. [Edit] After checking more games, it appears that the price may not be based on a particular cut off date. Some newly released items are also 1:1. So it's probably case by case. This does give hope that more items will be cheaper on Canada store than US.

- Comparing new game prices: Uncharted 4 US$59.99 CAD$79.99. Again, the US store price is slightly lower.

- Comparing PS Plus subscription prices: US$49.99 (roughly CAD$64.51) vs CAD$49.99. Here Canada price is lower. For newcomers, this is a feasibly alternative (though should consider things like whether one would be using Canada PSN account to play games and can make use of the cloud save feature of PS+). For those who already have US PS+, switching does mean you will lose all your previous US PS+ free games.

Creating Canada PSN account

- Pretty much the same process. I used province Ontario, and later during address entry, I used some fake road name for address line 1, city Toronto, state Ontario, ZIP code M2H 3R6 (that's actually Sony Canada HQ's ZIP).

PC Game Supply

- I've heard about it before but didn't try them until now. Set up a new account there, remember must use real SG mobile phone number cos for the first transaction they will SMS you a verification code, which you must enter for your purchase to proceed.

- My first transaction was via the mobile site (link you posted), I waited for the SMS but nothing (Paypal shows it as 'pending'). I then switched over to the desktop site, look up my order, and from there I click the verification again and this time they SMS me instantly. The order went through, got the PSN code after a minute, redeemed it successfully on PSN store. Basically it works.

I will update the first post soon. Thanks.
