The durability is quite lousy considering that I only used it rarely...
wa i see liao jin heartpain, I think I must go find ways to protect mine liao.

Unfortunately such problems are hard to patch, since they are irregular shapes and don't have standard replacement parts (unlike ear pads of headphones).

Can maybe try wearing a baseball cap (with the bill facing backwards)? I sometimes do that for my headphone (the ear cups I have replaced but the cushion on top peels off).
Today I contacted Axis Plus regarding this issue but they told me that they have no replacement parts for this.

Now I'm still trying to get help from Playstation Customer Service from HK, hopefully they are able to provide a solution to this.

Ya, I also very heartpain.. I guess need to clean it frequently ;(

Same with those head phone cushion will peel off. I think should put some oil to moisturise like the leather seat ?

How you guys clean after use?I use wet cloth to clean the cushion area after use but still worry cushion peel off still.

Today I contacted Axis Plus regarding this issue but they told me that they have no replacement parts for this.

Now I'm still trying to get help from Playstation Customer Service from HK, hopefully they are able to provide a solution to this.
After contacting Playstation Customer Service HK, finally received an email from Axis Plus that they will repair the detereorating cushions for a fee. So there is still hope..

can help ask sony possible to do a trade-in from old PSVR headset to new one with the HDR Passthrough for a fee or not?
