The general quality of the lounge offerings in SIN is quite poor to start off with, even without the crowd. (The only possible exceptions would be some of SQ's own lounges limited to only business/first class pax).

I also find that airline lounges are usually of a much higher quality than third party lounges (e.g. those accessed by PP in SIN).
This is true.

I was there on Thurs. Went to the Traveller's Lounge (East Hall). Near to Gate 1. I didn't try the other lounge at West Hall so can't comment.

No restrictions on stay. Quite a nice selection of food and drinks too. Usually HK you don't need to use the lounge as there is plenty of nice shops to occupy the time. It is my first time using the lounge in like 10 visits over the past 2 years.

If you have *G, the ANA lounge is amzing. Hot Udon, or Japanese curry cooked on order. Sake bar at the other end. It's certainly my favourite *G lounge.

i can't remb i went to east or west. Maybe west.

The concierge was also not very helpful. perhaps because it was 1230am.

Whoever want to use...better check first.

Star Alliance Gold, which is usually the higher tier for member Frequent Flyer programs (eg SQ KF Elite Gold, or PPS).
