Nope. The 10 x extra is only for targeted customers.

So now you can only get 20 x

But even if you are one of the targeted customer, they will have this clause says max is only 10 x extra, so cannot overlap.
How would I know if I would get the 10X extra? Mailer from bank?

Is using points for flight alot more expensive than converting them to miles for the same flight?

Not necessary anymore. They have a new Rewards platform. Go check it out.

I have tried it and I kept pushing them to combine the reward points even via online banking messages but it was impossible. She only could suggest that the only way is I cancel the credit card but it was sort of still subjected to approvals.
Do you mind to elaborate more? The CSO suggested you to cancel the card, say the Visa, and she can then combine your reward points to the MC pool?

An unrelated question here. From this T&C link, it states "The maximum Citi Dollars earned from spending in the above mentioned categories that can be credited to each Eligible Cardholder’s card account in each year (i.e. 365 days from the date of (i) the establishment of the card account; or (ii) renewal of the card account) is 120,000 Citi Dollars."

  • I thought i saw someone mentioned per calendar year or have i mistaken? So it's actually around 365 days from the mm/yy embossed on the card?
  • The cap of 120,000 rewards points is per card account. If i hold 2 cards, then i have 2 card accounts (under 1 customer account) and my cap for both cards is 240,000. Can someone confirm?

Thanks.

Confirmed. I personally hold Visa and MC. Both different pool and cap.

Yes, she say she only can transfer points if I cancel my card. I did that for my clear card and she transfered the points to another of my card.

Thinking of doing the same. Mc seems to be more favorable than the visa

Well, it depends on how often you use the card to get 4 miles per dollar. I use this card quite often so it is usually maxed put before the annual renewal. Hence I would keep two just in case.
