Question Citibank Credit Card Retention Offer

So I just called in to cancel my Citi Premiermiles Amex card but got transferred to a card closure specialist, was offered 1 year annual fee waiver and a $50 credit into the card with no strings attached.

Anyone experienced the same retention offer? or was offered anything better?

For my SMRT card, I kept getting the spend $200 get $20 * X number of months a few times. What's better is that I did it once, then called them after the deal ended, and got the same deal again... at least 3 times in the same year. I was offered the same thing last month, but I finally decided to cancel.

You could try to cancel again after 6 months, I guess

Mid Tier card they normally do not allow waiver.
Think this annual fee one of the cheapest for mid tier and the cheapest is OCBC, around $400 plus plus.
