I think HSBC does not give 5x or 10x for tax payment, only 1x. Anyone can confirm?

I also dont think they gives 5x/10x for telco, sp services, hdb parking, town council, roadtax, etc.
Telco should be ok. TnC NV say any restrictions on telco bills. Probably hv to pay online via SingTel portal?

Hmmm doesn't seem worth it to get HSBC card just for this. Alright then, looks like I'm gonna stick to my GIRO.

or any better cards to use?

See if can book from Expedia? UOB Prvi offer 6mpd for Expedia booking (hotel and flight)

Wierd.

Is Amazon Purchases qualify for 2mpd (or 5X reward)? My Amex card doesn't reflect this. Very sure I pay in USD.

Cuz I don't see any DBS points reflected. OR have to wait longer? Usually all DBS points for local transactions are immediately reflected upon posted on unbilled transaction.

if you are sure you paid in usd, message the bank to clarify. my foreign transaction points get posted along with the transaction itself. i know for a fact amazon defaults to charging home currency when a new card is added, so better double check.

Bonus points are not posted for online Air and Hotel

After >10 messages with DBS customer support they finally sent me excel sheet with a the list of all transactions since the beginning of this year and how many base/bonus points they've earned.

Well, following online flight tickets I bought with Altitude card only posted basic 3 points per $5 spent.

LUFTHANSA $1,628.00
AIRASIA $286.00
TIGERAIR $143.03
AIRASIA $117.00
SWISS INT $1,557.80
UNITED $1,536.00
UNITED $1,718.10
UNITED $151.50

My understanding is that they should earn as well additional 4.5 points on every $5 spent.

The same situation was with hotel/lodging transactions:

AGODA $124.44
AGODA $62.22
EXPEDIA $11.88
AIRBNB $54.00
EXPEDIA $421.22

So I am missing roughly 7000 points on Altitude card.

You should definitely ask them about it, I did for a couoe of transactions with scoot and tiger air and they honored the extra points.
Good luck!

I got a bit confused on the "promotion" on the DBS points/miles for this card.

Just bought an air-ticket directly from LUFTHANSA, about $2800, how much DBS points or miles would be rewarded?

3dbs points per $5 when transaction is posted
additional 4.5 dbs points per $5 90 days after the calendar month of the transaction. total of 7.5 points per $5 spent, or 15miles per $5 or 3mpd

I know there's a small thread on topping up EZ-Link but I can't find anything about using DBS Altitude for manually topping up by flashpay app. Anyone knows?

Thanks! LUFTHANSA charged in SGD, so DBS bonus point will be
- 4.5x (local spend for online flight & hotel) , total 3mpd or
- 2.5x (overseas spend for online flight & hotel), total 2.2mpd?

Seems WMC much simpler but better, just that capped at 8k miles but almost same for my case if 3mpd given.

If 2.2mpd, then really regretting.

i would warn everyone to be careful with their points.

i have encountered not once not twice but quite a few cases where their points awarding system has an error, and i was missing points.

i have an excel that tracks all my spending and points, and every month I've had to chase some points, be it something as simple as WWMC bonus points, to ALTITUDE flights bonus, to EXPEDIA promo.

since they like to keep the points un-transparent, and only show a lump sum statement, then feel free to bombard them and ask for points breakdown if you see any discrepancies.

perhaps with the increased volume in error checks, they will provide a more transparent points breakdown either on ibanking or statement.

For the point it seems now they do not give directly the 3x or 5x point for DBS Altitude and 1x point for DBS WWMC after the transaction posted in internet banking. I only see it 1-2 days after
