Seems like the best deal is to use DBS SAFRA card for a max 13% rebate, comprising 3% SAFRA$ cash rebate (can use to offset bill) and 10% cashback?

Erm the promo is valid only for Debit cards, not Credit cards.

So the card eligible is DBS SAFRA Debit Card.

Up to 10% Kaching Cashback (most likely MasterCard Contactless too)
2% Cashback on Local MasterCard Contactless
1% Cashback on Internet transactions
0.3% Cashback on retail MasterCard POS (non-contactless)

I saw in the tnc limit of max $200. So if i make 2 paywave trans 200 each then ok? Can the card be used to pay for $200? I thought paywave only eligible for up to $100 per transaction?

i ever use it to pay twice of $200 each at Gain City. i bought a electric item which costs $500. the cs help me to split into 2 payment. the best he could do for me is 2 x $200 paywave and the balance to pay it off one shot via another cc.

1st day - paywave $200 + 1 shot payment of balance via another cc.

2nd day or any day prior to delivery. i went back to store to paywave another $200.

following month end. i gotten 5% cashback of $10 x 2

according to the cs. max is can paywave twice.

but I'm not sure about Live fresh card. if really no cap per wave. then live fresh will b a better card to purchase such big item cos i had to forgo the 5% on the remaining balance of $100 by using visa debit card instead of live fresh. not forgetting of needing to go back on separate day to make payment cos gain city cs says only max $200 per day for paywave.

other than purchasing big items. i usually use it on small purchases like food or ntuc. i rarely meet $200 per month on these. for my case. i will still need to crack my mind how to meet min.spend of $400. not forgetting quite a couple of times. i spotted though i specify paywave. the receipt often shown mst swipe. recently also spotted some other unrecognizable code which isn't paywave which could cost me lose the whole cashback if I don't track closely. therefore I'm going to hold on for this card. unless i have big items to buy n i have max out my other cards then I'll revisit this.

No as long as you don't go into negative balance.

isnt cashline a credit line that charges 19.8% p.a.

if you withdraw cash from a deposit account then yes it would be considered a cash withdrawal but i doubt using a line of credit would be the same

Ah i see. Missed that. Thanks for pointing out.

So right to say that DBS SAFRA Debit Card with min spend of $400 would give 2% + 10% on all contact-less payments?

The FAQ sounds like 2% contactless and 1% online Cashback is possible.

Better to send them pm to check though.

Will I receive both HTNS$/SAFRA$ cash rebate and cashback if I qualify for the Beep. Beep. Ka-ching! Promotion and HOMETEAMNS-PASSION-POSB DEBIT CARD CASH REBATE PROGRAMME/SAFRA DBS DEBIT CARD CASH REBATE PROGRAMME?
- Yes, you will continue receiving your HTNS$/SAFRA$ cash rebate under the respective cash rebate programme. Additionally, under the Beep. Beep. Ka-ching! Promotion, you will receive 1 cashback which is capped at S$50 per customer across all cards in a month.

I believe any payments considered as bill payment, does not qualify. Whether it is SP, town council, telco.....they are all bills to service providers.....correct me if am wrong.

6. Cashback is not valid for online, refunded Contactless Spend, signature, EZ-Link
Card/NETS FlashPay Card/EZ-Pay transactions (e.g. Top-ups of EZ-Link/Nets FlashPay
Cards/prepaid cards/apps with the qualifying cards), PIN-based transactions (e.g.
NETS/ATM/AXS), NETSPay transactions (e.g. NETS QR/NETS Contactless), foreign
currency transactions, Casino levy and bill payments, unless otherwise stated.

Can someone checked whether he/she did get the 5% rebate previously when paying to telco via paywave?

Can someone explain why is "signature based transaction" excluded? I thought using debit card via visa/master also need to sign?

Signature based mean not contactless.
If use paywave no need to sign.

I think as long as your receipt says it's 'Contactless Sale', you should be eligible for Cashback for that particular transaction:

not necessarily true.

I did paywave at Ikea for 200 and the transaction requires signature. But certainly paywave.

Oh! Maybe $200 and above will trigger the system that require signature, as a safety measure. I never charge >$200 by paywave. Now I understood why tnc limit rebate only for transaction of below $200, because it becomes signature based transaction.
When paywave with signature, does the receipt Ent Type still printed as contactless or paywave?

transaction value cannot be above $200.. I don't understand their rationale for this to be part of the eligibility.. i gave up and hopped on the the live fresh card instead.. not bound by this stupid $200 transaction limit.

i charged $600+ via contactless paywave before.. no signature required.. registered as contactless paywave transaction and received cash rebates.. live fresh credit card.
