take a look at my Mongolian trip arrangements.. if you want i can forward you the exact correspondent. No one came back to me for flight recommendations or ANY updates. If i had to provide all the flight details and spoon feed my travel concierge then might as well i book for my own trips and take my credit card spend somewhere else?

In conclusion, i transferred my voyage miles to SQ and did my own booking.

Forget about using the concierge to redeem tickets, basically they are using the VM to purchase the air tickets for you.

I once asked them for the mileage required for the ticket i wanted and was quoted 63,600VM for a ticket worth S$1350 (1vm = 1.572cts) and 14,100vm for taxes of S$70.13 (1vm = 0.497cts). There is an option to pay the taxes by cash.

In my opinion, only use VM to redeem when redemption tickets for SQ or Star Alliance flights are not available. The benefits of using VM to redeem tickets are that you can accrue krisflyer miles and for PPS/Krisflyer Silver or Gold status or other airlines FFP.

i am not sure if its me but the rates of exchange wasnt so bad last time. i went to LAX and spend 167,000 VM miles for return on SQ for 2 only this year.

The problem boils down to TEN Concierge are great in basic / directional instructions (specific restaurant bookings, transportation bookings with instructions).

There is a complete melt down when your question is open, for example asking for recommendations. Google would be better.

Open for suggestion of other concierge, which other banks are using John Paul? Any other recommendation?

Hi members, did anyone using Voyage noticed a decrease on service since Voyage changed service company to Lifestyle Group from John Paul?

I had two incidents where I asked them to provide me with information with clubs / bar in Singapore. They gave me wrong information both of the time and I needed to validate the information provided. What is the point of a concierge?

Anyone else noticed a difference since the change?
Didn't know that a new company was handling the lifestyle services. Any other banks use JP?

I have an upcoming expense of $50K. I am allowed to pay by credit card but there will be a surcharge of 2%. Is it worthwhile to pay the surcharge which will total up to be $1000 for 80,000 miles ( based on $1 = 1.6 miles ). I thought so as it work out to be 1.25 cent per mile but would like to hear other's opinion! Thanks!

If you need the miles and are going to use it, why not? Provided the miles are worth much more than 1.25cts, something like close to 2cts.

Personally, I will do it as 80,000 miles are worth US$2000 to me.

Just checked SQ website, SIN-FUK ( Fukuoka ) = 86000 miles = $3,309 (revenue ticket). So I think is worth it

The biz class ticket to FUK is S$3250, when you redeem thru Krisflyer, you have to pay S$50.20 in cash/credit card.

FARE SGD 3250.00
TAX SGD 30.40SG SGD 10.80L7 SGD 18.00XT
TOTAL SGD 3309.20
