AMEX can only avoid DCC, FCY is 2.5% for AMEX.

Can use AMEX to avoid these fees

Yeah same thoughts, going to be one of the worst miles card in Singapore with the changes:
- Low base miles at 1.2 miles per dollar (vs 1.4 other banks)
- exclusion to be added (insurance, PayPal etc)
- change to use a limited dragonpass (to be confirmed) vs other banks PP
- high to be foreign transaction fee of 3% (effective Oct18) vs competitors of 2.5% to 2.8%
- not much incremental miles opportunity vs competitors (e.g DBS attitude at 3mpd for online hotel and flight)
- Miles at Citibank is at card level instead of customer level unlike competitors DBS, UOB which allows for accumulation across their cards
Oh... insurance payment no longer earn miles... I mean in Oct? that's sad...

Good Liao lo.

Anw I feel we r moving backwards.

The foreign miles imo not worth to clock unless got special promo.

I rather change $ n bring cash, especially when the rates r good.

If online transaction then bobian.

Yeah cash is king. But I always standby a card or two for emergency or big purchases. My cards to avoid are those with high FCY charges, UOB privi miles, all SCB cards and moving forward .... Citi too

actually since this PM accrual rates are so low, why are people using it still?

i've been thinking about using CC for miles vs cashback, any thoughts?

if for miles, am i right to say UOB PRVI is best for general spending? and which is best for dining?

or which cashback card is everyone using?

since the demise of HSBC Advance, my best overall recommended card for KF miles for dining is HSBC Revolution or Maybank Horizon.

For general spending KF miles, the best in my opinion is Citi Prestige or OCBC Voyage (if you are a premier customer). But, with annual fee.

If you dont want to pay any annual fee, left with the usual 1.2 KF mile cards without miles expiry.

the Promotion Period;
c) "Eligible Card" refers to the Citi PremierMiles Visa Card only.
