Lightbulb Revolut launch in Singapore to happen soon

Revolut will be launching in Singapore and Japan in the next few months it turns out. Wonder how banks will see this as competition or even fresh players like YouTrip. Revolut has much more capabilities and already serving more than 3m customers just in Europe!

Not sure whether it supports SGD. If not, not much use.

Except the free 200 withdrawal per month, there is nothing better than YouTrip.

SGD is not a major currency and Revolut is not local. Donít be surprised if it does not support SGD.

Correct me if I am wrong. YouTrip supports SGD through MasterCard network, not through currency exchange market.

This company is the first entry on this list that did not technically originate in Singapore, but they are making a strong foray into the region. Revolut is a neo-bank that allows users to use an app to spend overseas in over 150 countries without fees or holds, and allows users to exchange 24 different currencies in-app. Revolut is also a remittance service that aallows domestic and international money transferes with the real exchange rate.

The company reported that 100,000 customers were on their waiting list from Singapore and Japan collectively. And they have just received a license to run their services in Singapore slated for the first quarter of 2019.

Furthermore, Revolutís Asia Pacific headquarters will be stationed in Singapore, and the company has even gone on a hiring spree to make this happen.

I like how they say they have 100k expectant customers in SG and JP collectively, because the SG version of the app has only... 8534 ppl in the queue. So they're boosting the number by grouping SG and JP together.
