Standard Chartered Rewards+ Credit Card

The new Standard Chartered Rewards+ Credit Card.
Get up to 10X rewards points for every S$1 spent in foreign currency on overseas retail, dining and travel transactions.
No minimum spend required.

Anyone noticed this card? Not sure how new this card is.

Does it means I can only get 10X rewards for foreign currency spendings, EXCEPT overseas dining and travel transactions (hotel/airfares booking I presume)?

1X rewards when transaction is made, 9X rewards will come in later.

I read the TnC, there is a cap of 20,000 rewards points per card anniversary. The cap is only applicable to the additional rewards points (9X). Hence 1 year can spend max of S$2,222.

If this is really true, do you think it's a good substitute for UOB Visa Signature 10X foreign currency spending which requires minimum S$1,000 per month?

Thanks!

Other than the low annual cap, the other major issue with the card is the points conversion rate - while for most banks 10x points = 4 miles per dollar, for this card 10x points = 2.9mpd only (assuming you're clocking miles).

I've not personally looked at it in great detail, but I think this post dissects it pretty well: http://milelion.com/2018/05/03/stand...-rewards-card/

Wow I see!! Didn't realize the conversion is different! I'm primarily looking at converting for miles. Looks like it's not really worth it
