Exclamation Unsuccessful Credit Card Application... WTF?!?!

Dear Guys

i am lost on why i been rejected like 4 times for my credit card application from HSBC, ANZ, Manhattan and Amex.

my credit health is kinda good - i believe so
i got the CB report and it is empty as i did not have any form of loan for the past 7 years (i've always believe that cash is king)

but recently my job requires me to travel a lot hence i needed a credit card as a debit card will not cover for car rental deposit overseas and hotel deposit so i started to apply for CC from early last year and have been facing with rejection.

my earnings has been well above the minimum sum hence i am puzzled why are the banks rejecting me .. is it because my Credit report shows nothing?

please advice guys

thanks

There are many other reasons why it doesn't get approved and we wouldn't exactly know.

Try citibank?

Hmmm? would you be self employed? How many years in job?

There are loads of factors they look into and they won't reveal why they reject you

Don't think there's such thing as applying many cards at once...I applied my first 2 cc at the same time...if there's a lot...

try to apply and get citibank, you can get the card on the spot
after this if you get rejected then you know there is a problem.

if you get someone to sub to you first, opening a way, it may help too

Are you a self-employed or a commissioned earner?

Earning well above minimum sum doesn't guarantee success. There are borderline cases of $30K getting approved and those $50K+ getting rejected.
