What is the uni$ validity period? I saw on Uob site that it is 2 years from the month that its earned, expiring quarterly. However that don't seems to be the case. My earned points on nov'15 is not expiring in 31dec'17 ( statement shows 0points expiring).

Never redeem before and was previously offset for annual fee but reversed back after waiver approved.

Yes, foreign transactions pay via Paywave can earn 4mpd but in $5 block, if your transactions $4.99 or less then no points awarded.

Been tried few dining place, petro, popular and few retail shops before I cancel the card recently

Yep, that was me.

Problem with KLA Express is sometimes the paywave sensor is not working so it's a gamble. There's 15% promotion when using paywave right now. Have a 1 night transit in KL next weekend so will give it a try.

After contesting the points award, UOB awarded 10x points for my small MST transaction (meant for testing purpose only), plus email in proof (charge slip) that this is indeed Samsung Pay transaction. The call centre agent claimed that this is only a one-off thing and no further points will be award for my future MST transactions, but I told them to either change the T&Cs or I will continue to spend and call in to disturb them.

So the more people who call in and disturb them on the MST 10x (no matter how small the transaction), the faster they will do work to either include MST or change the T&Cs.

Too lazy to go fight the SPC for now, since I'd never be using UOB card for SPC (other than the only time I used the voucher included).
Re: SAMSUNG MST question.... I thought Samsung Pay uses both MST and NFC, so how does one determine at the point of payment if it is using MST or NFC? I would imagine if Samsung pay uses NFC, it would be counted as Paywave and hence it would get the 10x?

NFC if tap on NFC terminal. MST iftap phone alongside the credit card machine where the magnetic strip is swiped. NFC get 10x (unless at SMART$ merchant), MST no 10x.

Thanks... seems that we need to know these to ensure that the NFC is used, and I am not sure if I totally get this until i try it again. Maybe its better to use this card with Android Pay to remove any ambiguity? And use OCBC Titanium Reward with Samsung pay instead... just a thought...
