Thanks... seems that we need to know these to ensure that the NFC is used, and I am not sure if I totally get this until i try it again. Maybe its better to use this card with Android Pay to remove any ambiguity? And use OCBC Titanium Reward with Samsung pay instead... just a thought...
The way to tap for MST is very different from NFC, dun think there will be any ambiguity. You can google for videos of how both work. Try it yourself at self-checkout machine at say NTUC.

UOB is one of the hardest to dispute, same as BOC. final decision is determined based on the MCC code registered by merchant. you can still try, no harm. good luck.

OCBC still abit more leeway nowadays, they do reviews upon disputes such as Apple Online Store which previous did not earn 10X but changed upon review to all customers.
I can say UOB credit card department Singapore are the most arrogant on banking industry here. I dont hold even one of their card right now

Re: SAMSUNG MST question.... I thought Samsung Pay uses both MST and NFC, so how does one determine at the point of payment if it is using MST or NFC? I would imagine if Samsung pay uses NFC, it would be counted as Paywave and hence it would get the 10x?
paying on Samsung Pay will trigger 2 active modes at a time, NFC and MST. there are times where i tried to NFC but ended up the MST was sensed on the terminals (ones which have paywave and swiping together). so it doesn't necessarily means Samsung Pay is confirm NFC.

i previously tried googling for ways to enable/disable MST but to no avail. if anyone knows could share.
