I doubt this is the good cop bad cop routine. He spoke of the real issues and unhappiness of many of us.

If the ruling party had the guts to acknowledge these flaws, in a clear and non-evasive words, I would probably had respected them more. Instead, all I heard are word-plays and playing down of issues. Sad.

isnt he the same guy who voted yes to the white paper?
the things he complain most are due to increase in FT or increase in pop here in singapore.
so he trying to be 2 headed snake!!

No, he abstained from voting for the white paper by absenting himself.

actually he never voted Yes. But he also never voted No. He did not vote.

I guess it was due to party whip.

At least he bothers to speak up. Unlike the rest of the spineless sycophant dogs. Any IBs dogs going to defend their masters here?

constructive politics.. got to salute this from many perspectives.

For those TLDR, IMHO, this is a good article to finish reading.

u guys can don't be so cynical?

you think they will allow such a 'good cop bad cop' tactic to be played out in this manner?

the other mp spoke on changing goal post of CPF, and now another one.

Soon there will be more!!

He probably did send in this speech for the Whip's vetting to be used during this parliamentary session; but was rejected.

So next-best alternative would be to go on a business trip during the parliamentary debate and post this speech onthe internet via FB.
