Appeal to NTU part-time CS/apply SIM full-time CS

hey guys, I kena rejected by NTU full-time CS course and plan appeal to NTU part-time CS course or just apply to SIM full-time CS course. I'm poly diploma holder with 3.33 GPA (relevant diploma for CS course).

Is it worth to work 1 year in the relevant industry and take a gap year apply for NTU part-time CS (no guarantee to get in as not GPA cut off point for reference)

or

Apply for SIM full-time CS course (should be able to get in).

What I worried about is there is no guarantee I can get into NTU part-time CS, 1 year would be wasted if failed (22 ages liao this year ). Also, there are some disadvantages studying in private uni SIM (no offence) like lower pay, hard to find job etc. I'm very clueless now so any advise would be appreciated
