Anyone here deliberately cut off contact with all your fellow graduates and friends (Singaporean graduates from Australian universities) after returning to Singapore due to bad experience?

I had classmates who happened to be at the same uni overseas, but decided to break contact due to misunderstandings. Studying overseas is a new life experience and could be stressful or confusing for some. Some people just want to hang out with new people, and may even consider it as a fresh start.

If it's just one person cutting off contact or avoiding you, I suggest you let it be. There may be things not within your control or knowledge. But if everyone you met there has done the same.. maybe you need to reflect on what went wrong? Has such a thing happened to you even before going overseas to study?

It's just a sad fact of life that friendships and relationships are harder to maintain as time goes by. Just learn to move on.
