I think no news for so long is not good. My dotter friend lower gpa already accepted into ntu.
Ermmm I think we are talking about different programmes here - itís not acceptance into NTU/SMU/NUS but into NIE for PGDE or DipEd

Not too sure if it works the same as PGDE but there was a link indicated in the email where it tells us what to expect. Basically a 20mins essay writing (usually on the etiquette of a public servant / teacher), 5 mins of presentation on the subject you're assigned to teach and the usual "Meet the panel" on the why-s of joining (and just whatever other topic that they can link to during the conversation).

Timeline wise, think most of us are still at the waiting part but this is my timeline so far.

Online Application - 29 Jan 2019
Shortlisted For Interview Email - 4 March 2019
Interview - 14 March 2019
EPT Availability Email - 28 March 2019
Update on Application Email - 4 April 2019
Yea not sure if the process is similar but i think it's better to be over-prepared thanks so much the info!

Hi! I attended the MK untrained MTL teacher interview in 2017. I was shortlisted after the interview and had to go through a 5-day attachment at a MOE Kindergarten to be further assessed by the centre supervisor for suitability. During the attachment, it is likely that she will be required to probably read a story to a class of children as well. The entire process was about 2-4 months?

The interview was a normal Q&A session with 2 interviewers. They asked usual questions like why you want to be a teacher and asked if thereís any experience in working with young children.

All e best!
ooooh thanks for sharing your experience! there's not much info online pertaining to this programme specifically so i think my sis was a lil daunted. but yea i'll pass this useful info along to her

Nothing yet for me. I've got to keep a hawk-eyed watch over my emails till 11 Apr 6pm. This is one email which I'm reluctant to receive, but maybe it's better to receive it than not.

Hi! How do you know they will give a reply by 11 April? Is it also including those that went for the interview in April?

Is it compulsory for all pgde/diped applicants to take EPT?

No. It depends on each applicantís qualifications and language skills - the detailed info can be found on the MOE website. Thereís exemption criteria too

Test date was told to be 18th April and if you need to sit for it, you'll be informed one week before - which is the 11th of April.
